SEO Analyzer Pro ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

The Extension collects and processes the following data locally on your device:

• Usage count: The number of SEO analyses you have performed, stored locally to manage free-tier limits.
• Page content (temporary): When you run an analysis, the Extension temporarily reads the current webpage's HTML to extract SEO-related metadata (titles, meta tags, headings, links, etc.). This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect any personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• We do not track your browsing history
• We do not transmit any data to external servers
• We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking
• We do not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties

4. Local Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local) to store your usage count and onboarding status. This data remains on your device and within your Chrome profile. If you are signed into Chrome, chrome.storage.sync data may sync across your devices as part of Chrome's built-in sync feature.

5. Permissions

The Extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab: To access the current webpage's content when you initiate an SEO analysis.
• scripting: To inject the content analysis script into the active tab.
• storage: To save your usage count and preferences locally.

These permissions are the minimum required for the Extension to function. We do not request access to all tabs, browsing history, or any data beyond what is necessary.

6. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection is Google Fonts, loaded via the Extension's popup for typography.

7. Data Retention

Usage data is retained locally until the Extension is uninstalled or Chrome storage is cleared. There is no server-side retention of any data.

8. Your Rights

You can delete all Extension data at any time by uninstalling the Extension from Chrome. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no server-side data to request deletion of.

9. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
